Caring for the whole person: mind, body, soul, and community.

Mental Health Awareness Month

Mental health matters. Many people carry anxiety, depression, grief, stress, trauma, or emotional exhaustion quietly. Sometimes we assume faith means we should be “fine,” but Scripture shows us that even faithful people experienced fear, sadness, weariness, and deep distress.

God meets us with compassion, not shame.

If you are struggling, you are not weak. You are human. And you are not alone.

A Few Signs to Pay Attention To

You may need extra support if you are experiencing ongoing:

  • sadness or hopelessness
  • anxiety or panic
  • trouble sleeping
  • loss of interest in things you normally enjoy
  • isolation from family or friends
  • emotional numbness
  • thoughts of self-harm
  • feeling overwhelmed and unable to function

Practical Next Steps

Consider taking one small step this week:

  • Talk with a trusted friend, pastor, counselor, or doctor.
  • Get outside and take a short walk.
  • Create a simple rhythm of prayer and rest.
  • Limit isolation. Let someone know how you are really doing.
  • Reach out for professional help when needed.

Scripture Encouragement

“The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit.”
Psalm 34:18
